fbc prayer requests
Tuesday - March 9, 2010Prayer is important at FBC

Prayer Promise: Psalm 118:5 “In my anguish I cried to the Lord, and he answered by setting me free.”

  • Please be in prayer for the family of Joan Cox as she went home to be with the Lord during the night.  Pray for comfort and strength for the family during this difficult time as Dick just passed away about 5 weeks ago.

  • Joyce Rheinheimer would appreciate prayer for her father, Jim Graybill, who will be having a heart catheterization on Wednesday morning at Elkhart General.  Pray for discernment for the doctors and a quick recovery for him.

  • Continue praying for Lillian Dygert who is in Elkhart General going through rehab after her fall.  Pray for daily strength and encouragement.

Elmer and Mary Blanton would appreciate prayer as Elmer will be having a scope put down him on Wednesday to look at his intestines and determine the cause of some internal bleeding.  Pray for peace for Elmer and Mary as they anticipate this procedure.

  • Ray and Dixie Eakin's daughter, Peggy Clark, had surgery last Thursday for either a brain tumor or cyst.   Pray for wisdom for the doctors as they determine what form of treatment or further surgery is necessary. Please pray for the Eakin's family during this time.

  • Nate and Cherith Logan would appreciate prayer for their son, Jace, who has been diagnosed with pneumonia.  Pray for healing for Jace and strength for Nate and Cherith as they care for him.

  • Please be in prayer today for the families of our service men and women, Lance Bell (Special Forces, Afghanistan) and Paul and Sherri Brayton (USMC & USN, Camp Pendleton, CA & USNS Comfort).  Pray for safety for each of them as they serve our country and for peace for their families during their time away.

  • Be sure to pray for our missionaries this week: Dave & Debbie Marvin (SCORE International, Elkhart, IN - click here to read their current prayer requests) - view all our missionaries on our missions website www.fbcworldmissions.org

  • Our shut-ins to remember in prayer today are Shirley W. and Mary B.
