Cross Training is the name of all the Discipleship Ministries that are all intentionally designed and planned to help you to grow in Christlikeness. The following ministries are some of the vital components of the Cross Training Ministry:

Every member and attender at FBC is encouraged to be a

part of a Life Group. A Life Group is a small group of 10-12

individuals who meet together weekly for prayer, fellowship,

mutual encouragement, service and practical interaction with

the Word of God. In 2012 the highly successful Women’s

Mentoring Ministry will be incorporated into the Life Groups

ministry.

Throughout the year specialized classes, seminars &

workshops will be offered based on the training needs of our

congregation. Following are examples of specialized training

courses that could be offered in the coming months and

years at FBC:

For new believers (Bible Bootcamp)

For people who are new to FBC

These courses will be taught by Elders, Deacons and other

gifted teachers in our congregation. Men’s and women’s

Bible studies will be included in the Bible Institute.

In 2011, “Think Orange” launched with the specific

purpose of partnering with parents to capitalize on key

moments in the lives of their children & teens. These key

moments, from birth to graduation from high school, are

called “milestones.” The following are the milestone

moments where the church intentionally partners with

parents of FBC.

Milestone 1 (Newborn): Parenting Course preparing

parents for a parent-child dedication service.

Milestone 2 (3-4 Years Old): Parenting Course

teaching parents how to talk with their children about

Salvation and Good Touch / Bad Touch.

Milestone 3 (4th Grade): Overnight activity and

training session for parents that covers key issues

that their children will be facing.

Milestone 4 (8th Grade): Overnight purity and dating

seminar.

Milestone 5 (Graduates & Parents): Overnight

celebration and formal launch of their graduate into

adulthood.
